Gain Confidence and Skills in Ayurvedic Therapies with In-Person Training

Yes — this practical training is exclusively for those who have successfully completed the Ayurveda Terhapist Level 1 online course. It assumes you already have the theoretical foundation.

This immersive program is offered once per year, sometimes twice — spots fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.

No — accommodation and travel expenses are not included in the course fee. However, we can recommend nearby guesthouses and hotels to make your stay in Dharamshala comfortable.

You also have the option to stay at our residential Panchakarma Centre, where you can combine your time here with Ayurvedic treatments, subject to availability.

This in-person training is limited to 30 students only, allowing each participant to receive personal guidance, feedback, and hands-on support throughout the program.

At the end of the training, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, formally recognising the hours of practical Ayurvedic training you have completed. This certificate is a valuable credential for your personal and professional development, giving you confidence to integrate therapies into your Ayurveda practice.

The training is designed to be immersive and practical. Each day combines theory, practice, and feedback so you can deepen both understanding and skill.

Classes run Monday to Friday (with weekends free):

• 10:30 am – 1:00 pm: Theory class with Dr. Arun Sharma

• 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Ayurvedic lunch and rest

• 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Hands-on therapy practice with trained therapists

In addition to the structured schedule, you are welcome to use the classroom to practice in your own time — including evenings or weekends — if you’d like extra hands-on experience.

Yes — it’s possible to receive some basic Ayurvedic treatments during the course. However, because the program requires most of your time and energy each day, we recommend planning any deeper treatments for a few weeks before or after the course, when you can fully rest and benefit from them.

Your course fee covers all training sessions and study materials, along with a nourishing Ayurvedic lunch each day at our residential Panchakarma Centre. You will also have access to the classroom space for practicing therapies during the program — and even after class hours, in your own time.

Other meals are at your own choice and expense, giving you the chance to enjoy Dharamshala’s cafés and local food options.

If there is space available at our residential Panchakarma Centre, you are welcome to stay with us and combine your course with treatments. Many students also choose to arrive a little earlier or stay after the course to enjoy more treatment time. 

If you prefer to stay nearby, there are many guesthouses in the Bhagsu area within walking distance of the centre. We recommend booking accommodation for your first few nights and then deciding if you’d like to extend your stay — there are always plenty of options available.

Some nearby places our students have enjoyed include Mustard House, Trimurti Garden, Winter Stone, The Void, Omi Guesthouse, and Sawarna and Raj Guesthouse (which offer shared kitchen facilities).

Comfort is key — especially if you plan to combine your course with Ayurvedic treatments.

Seasonal guidance:

• July–September (Monsoon): Raincoat or waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes, and quick-dry clothes. Expect mystical clouds and daily rains.

Year-round essentials:

• Laptop or tablet if you’d like to continue your studies or access course materials during your stay

• Comfortable shoes or sandals

• Reusable water bottle

• Personal toiletries or medications

• Journal or book for reflection

• If you are planning treatments – clothes you don’t mind getting stained (herbal oils may not wash out)

All coure materials are provided. Most essentials — from umbrellas to warm shawls — can also be purchased locally if you need them.

If you are unable to attend, you may request a full refund (minus processing fees) or choose to receive course credit toward a future Ayuskama course or Ayurvedic treatment — provided your cancellation is made at least 3 months before the course start date.
